On Thursday alone, nearly 11,000 students and more than 2,200 staff reported testing positive, keeping them out of classrooms. On Friday, Chancellor David Banks acknowledged that staff attendance ‘has been lower than we wanted to see,’ but education department officials have refused to provide specific numbers.”
