University of Wyoming: UW Libraries, Wyoming State Library Launch New Digital Historic Newspaper Collection. “University of Wyoming Libraries and the Wyoming State Library have partnered to launch the Wyoming Digital Newspaper Collection online. This collection of historic newspapers combines the digital holdings of both institutions with a new interface that is more robust, providing easier, customizable searches and better results. More than 800,000 pages are now available, with new content added monthly.”

KGAB: Learn About Famous Wyoming Aviators At New Website. “The museum was founded by the late Jim Good, in the historic ‘Hangar 1’ at the Casper Wyoming’s International Airport. This is the site of the former Casper Army Air Base. The museum houses a collection from Good Racing and displays of military aviation memorabilia. For over a month now, artist and photographer Tim Mandese has been working with Natrona County’s Good Aviation Veterans Museum to upgrade their website, introduce a YouTube page with video tours, and upgrade their social media status.”

University of Wyoming: New Wyoming History Day Website Launched by UW’s American Heritage Center . “WHD, an affiliate of National History Day, brings together hundreds of Wyoming middle school and high school students in an annual competition to explore key themes of historical events and how they helped create today’s world. Created by the AHC, the website provides online delivery of historical materials — original primary sources held at the center — to the students as they create their projects and presentations. The competition runs across the entire school year, through district meets and then the state competition. Top Wyoming students and their projects compete at the national level.”

Colorado Virtual Library: Plains to Peaks Collective Shares Historic Collections from Colorado and Wyoming with the Digital Public Library of America. “The Plains to Peaks Collective (PPC), the Colorado-Wyoming Service Hub of the DPLA, is a collaboration between the Colorado State Library and the Wyoming State Library that brings together descriptive information about collection material held by our libraries, archives, and museums, and makes it freely available to the world. Through the PPC institutions can now share their unique digital collections with a wider national audience of avid researchers, genealogists, students, teachers and history buffs. It is our hope that every institution in Colorado and Wyoming has the opportunity to participate in the DPLA through the PPC.”
